Day 1: Marrakech→ Ouarzazate→ Zagora→ Mhamid El Ghizlane
Departure in the morning from Marrakech, Ouarzazate to reach the village of Mhamid, at the gates of the desert (transport by private vehicle Z Marrakech Travel ). Possible break at berber villages in the Atlas mountains, visit of Ait Ben Haddou near Ouarzazate (a Ksar classified as a UNESCO heritage site). In the evening, night with the locals in the village, or in our camp, all comfort, in the nearby Mhamimd our first night at the camp.
Day 2 : Mhamid→ Sidi Naji
Departure on foot from the Z Marrakech Travel Camp, accompanied by our team and the camel caravan.
In the morning, hike in the Sahara desert and head for the palm grove of M’hamid. Tea and lunch are taken in the shade of a Tamarisk tree.
After a time of rest, we leave for the sanctuary of Sidi Naji. Oral tradition reports that this marabout lived 18 grandfathers ago! A place full of history and local customs. In the evening, the camp lands at the foot of the sand dunes. Night in the desert under a tent or under the stars.
Day 3: Sidi Naji→ Erg Zahar
To the rhythm of the sun, the camp withdraws. Departure through the dunes then a vast dry lake to reach the magnificent dunes of Erg Zahar (known as “howling dunes”). Night in the Sahara desert under tents, or under the stars.
Day 4: Erg Zahar→ M’hamid→ Marrakech
Return to M’hamid then Marrakech, at the end of the evening.
After breakfast, we find the 4X4 waiting for us a little further. We leave in the direction of the fixed camp, through the magnificent landscapes of the Draa Valley. Lunch at the fixed camp, then return to Ouarzazate, crossing the atlas mountains Marrakech in the afternoon. We drop you off at your hotel/riad.
